Risk to Live Success

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool,
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To try is to risk failure,
To hope is to risk despair,
To live is to risk dying.
But risk must be taken,
Because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person, who risks nothing, does nothing,
Has nothing, is nothing and becomes nothing.
They may avoid suffering & sorrow,
But they can not learn, feel, change, grow, love or live.
Chained by their certitude,
They are slaves, they have forfeited their freedom.
Only a person who risks is truly free.

    Dr.Mahesh Chandra Panda is an author of medical professional website of Med Titans.The article ‘Risk to Live Success’ was first published in medtitans.com on May 1,2010.The response received from Dr.Madan Goyal in forum discussion of the website is quoted below for viewers of this blog:

    I never read so beautiful words about risk.
    There is a word of caution.’Risk quantification’ & ‘calculated risk taking’ is must.

    Again

    In life, besides poetry, there is an absolute truth:- ‘No Risk No Gain. Low risk low gain. High Risk High Gain.’ As the risk increases, it takes the shape of ‘Gambling’.
    Life starts with risk & ends many a times with wrongly taken risk.

    And lastly he commented:

    Risk is everywhere.
    Taking birth has risk of IUD,
    Eating is risky, may contain poison.
    Breathing is risky, may contain poisonous gases.
    Moving on road is risky, may meet an accident
    Not moving carries risk of obesity;
    Every body is taking risk consciously or subconsciously.
    Of Course,to achieve more success, there is no alternaive but to take risk.

  7. Respected Panda Sir,
    I like your lines very much and express my comments as below:
    Taking Hard – Going Forward;
    Taking Soft – Standing at the starting Spot;
    Mind Balancing Faster – Target achieving Higher;
    Lazily Slower – Becomes the Looser;
    Respecting others – Return Get Honour;
    Badly criticize some one – You will be gifted it from every one.
    So taking risk to achieve such good things is not a bad idea, that may be for our own, our family, our village, our town, our District, Our State, Our Nation, Our Continent,Our World or Our Universe.

  9. Dr.Binod Bihari Naik says:

    Respected Sir,

    Risk to Live Success is an inquisitive verse & attraction to modern changing young generation of all nations. Really it is a help line to make life in every sphere. Many thanks for your innovative initiation on the way for encouragement to them even in your retired & relaxed life. Day was there when Bhagaban Shree Satya Sai Baba always exhorted to student masses as His life property as follows:
    1.Life is a challenge, meet it.
    2. Life is a dream, realize it.
    3. Life is a game, play it.
    4. Life is love, enjoy it.
    Here challenge stimulates risk. But what is its remark, being positive & supportive it ends with bright future whereas negative or no risk ends devastation. So I would like to put an example of a vehicle wherein risk to live success; the activity of mind is an accelerator for movement of vehicle under the control of brake, clutch & gear used by driver. Like that also for risk to live success; body, senses, mind, intellect & ego take part in coordinating manner under control of heart, the seat of soul. Hence widening of heart means a missionary vision & where risk to live success is an immune booster to start life.

    Thanking You.
    Your Divine Brother

    Pranam kaka,

    The article is very touchy, meaningful and the truth of life. From birth to death,and childhood to old age; each and every step of life is full of risk. If someone wants to gain and achieve something in life then risk is the only factor to overcome and target the goal. Very nicely composed article in poetic form reflects truth of life to achieve success.
