In Chapter XI of Shri Sai Satcharita, two incidents showing Baba`s control over the elements are described as follows:
(1)Once, at evening time, there was a terrible storm at Shirdi. The sky was overcast with thick black clouds. Winds began to blow with great force, clouds roared and lightning began to flash and rains started pouring in torrents. In a short time, the whole place was flooded with water. All creatures, birds, beasts and men got terribly frightened, and they all flocked to the Masjid for shelter. There are many local Deities in Shirdi but none of them came to their rescue. So, they all prayed to Baba-their God, Who was fond of their devotion, to intercede and quell the storm. Baba was much moved. He came out and standing at the edge of the Masjid, addressed the storm in a loud and thunderous voice, “Stop, stop your fury and be calm!” In a few minutes, the rains subsided, the winds ceased to blow, and the storm came to a stop. Then, the moon rose in the sky and people went back home well-pleased.
(2)On another occasion at noon the fire in the Dhuni began to burn brightly, its flames were seen to be reaching the rafters above. The people who were sitting in the Masjid, did not know, what to do. They dared not ask Baba to pour water or do anything to quench the flames. But Baba soon came to realize, what was happening. He took up His Satka (short stick) and dashed it against a pillar in front, saying, “Get down, Be calm”. At each stroke of the Satka, the flames began to slow down, and in a few minutes the Dhuni became calm and normal.

Glad to learn about baba and his great life on earth, and thanks for sharing it. Mysterious are ways of divine will, often incomprehensible to mortal mind.
All these are descriptions of and within powers of God almighty. Without His will nothing can happen. He can do anything which may even beyond the description of all languages, beyond the comprehension of human mind and even beyond the reach of human beings. Human reach is unto earth, but He is Master of whole universe.

When Dengle bought a wooden plank swing to Baba, Sai tied it to the roof of Masjid with the torn clothes , the clothes seem like whether it can bear the plank`s weight or not, but wonder was it was even bearing Sai`s weight as well, no one knew how Baba climbed and got down !! Sai had the ability to control all the elements of the universe, all the Siddhis and senses. The Nava Nidhis were already under his Seva, nothing is impossible for Sai.

With reference to your Topic “Sai Baba`s Control over the Elements” I would like to elaborate for general acknowledgment as follows:
That where creation is there, destruction is must. It is a natural phenomenon in the ephemeral world. One who has to able to imagine, glance or experience, this is nothing to him. He knows the Leela of God and is nearer to God. For him miracle is not essential, but God`s presence is mandatory. But how many people are there among the billions, very few: for rest, to continue humanity, God shows extraordinary supramental power to protect them for any sort of calamities and shoulders their burdens. This instant vision and benefit graced from godly man make them amaze, compel and propel to surrender at his lotus feet. They then start worshipping and simultaneously drag their kith & kin, near & dear to act the same. This is called ritual and involvement of whole human race beyond cast, creed, religion and nation; and the ritual place turns into place of pilgrimage where living god resides and solves all wavy and curvy life. This affair continues even after leaving of His mortal coil. This miraculous aroma signifies Avatarhood. All the events that happened during the Sai Era are still continuing in the kingdom of Sai Baba. He is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. Hence to stop torrential rain or extinguish the blazing fire were not impossible for protection of his devotees or crazy non-devotees gathered around him. This power is “hall mark” of Sai Baba as incarnation of God as depicted in Sai Baba`s control over all elements such as Earth, Air, Water, Fire and Ether.
I don`t want to proceed further except a Dictum to young adults as follows:
To sustain humanity, Surrender is must;
To sustain celibacy, Discipline is must;
To share love, Faith is must;
To step on divinity, Devotion is must;
To subdue mind, O Man! Meditation is must;
Hence meditate with patience & perseverance.

Sir, it is a nice article regarding Shirdi Sai Baba. Sir, according to me, a word used in your article ‘Control’ is so for Baba is not appropriate because all the thing what is going on is always planned by God. Baba is the representative of the supreme power, so how he controls all these things by Himself. It only happens by the supreme power of God.

Sir, your article depicts two marvelous leela of Shri Sai during his existance as a Santha in the worldly life. The different type of leela rendered by Shri Sai along with His the then disciples is very vividly as far as practicable has been quoted by Hemadpanth in a book known as Shri Sai Satcharita.The people in general of the ages is following the same and learning the karma of Shri Sai.Indeed God is not visible in this mortal worldly life, but the Santha and Sadguru appear in this worldly stage who are the so called incarnation of the God. So it is for the humanity to what extent it will follow and accept the directives of those Santha in the nick of moment and as per their creditability, they accept different Santha or Sadguru as their Guru.
I have devoted my life as well as the life of my family at the feet of Shri Sai and ready to be every thing as per his directives.Your Article is a nice one.

In the article ‘Sai Baba’s Control over the Elements’, two different incidents and Baba’s control on both has been well described. After reading your article, I have also gone through the book Shri Sai Satcharita and the Chapter XI. In last paragraph of the Chapter ( Page 66), it has been also mentioned that, who will read the stories of this chapter daily, with faith and devotion, will soon be free from all calamities; not only this, but always attached and devoted to Sai, he will get very soon God-Vision, all his desires will be fulfilled and being ultimately desireless, he will attain the Supreme, Amen.The Chapter includes Manifested ( Sagun) Brahma Sai, as to how He was worshipped and how He controlled the elements. Sai as Sagun Brahma is also well mentioned in Chapter XI, which mentions also with a link to Gita ( Chapter XIII) the worship of the latter is easy and preferable. You may think to write the essence of this Chapter “Sai as Sagun Brahma” in your upcoming articles.
